Our Battle Plan For Prayer

Whether you grew up in “a praying home” or not, we are not born with this knowledge instinctively; we have to learn for ourselves how to pray.  You can watch and listen as others pray and then imitate the form or content of their prayers, but is that all that prayer is supposed to be?  Prayer is the link between our hearts and a loving God who wants so much more for us.  Have you ever felt like your prayers were not getting to the ceiling, much less to the throne of Grace?

God is Holy and He has requirements before we can pray effectively.  Make no mistake; you have an Enemy who wants nothing more than to keep you away from the throne of Grace until you become so frustrated that you give up trying.  Experiencing real communication with God and coming to an understanding of all with which He wants to bless us is a life-changing, perspective changing reality when we learn about prayer.

The book entitled The Battle Plan for Prayer outlines some very clear guidelines to help us get on the path to learning about real, effective prayer.  This study comes from the creators of the movie “War Room.”  All we have to do is to read a newspaper or listen to the news to know that on every front, we are in a Battle.  We trust God to know how to lead us but …are we connected to Him in such a way that allows us to hear His voice and see his hand in our lives?

We invite you to join us for this study on Sunday evenings in Deeper Roots.

Leaders:  Gayle Smith and Chuck Adams

God calls us daily to grow in our relationship with Him. As we deepen our experience with Him, He gives us insights into the wonderful riches of the abundant life. These deeper roots into the depth of His love for us help us to mature in our walk with Him. Deeper Roots classes are offered to help us grow as Christians and to give us an opportunity to know Him even better.

Everyone is invited to attend any session you wish. Classes meet at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings; September through November for Session I and January through April for Session II.  The list of specific class titles is posted on each campus.  We invite you to come and grow with us.
